Job summary

The NC State Highway Patrol is seeking an HR Technician II (S) to join our Human Resources team in Raleigh, NC. You will manage the recruitment lifecycle by posting jobs in Workday, screening applicants, and referring the most qualified candidates for state postings.

You will handle personnel actions in HRIS and payroll, including new hires, separations, transfers, and promotions, and you will assist with onboarding and maintaining personnel files.

Qualifications

• Experience using HRIS systems.
• Ability to exercise judgment in applying personnel policies.
• Experience providing customer service via email and telephone.
• Experience completing hiring packages using salary rules.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems such as Workday.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment life cycle – create postings, screen and refer qualified applicants in Workday.
• Process personnel actions in HRIS and payroll, including hires, separations, transfers, and promotions; calculate salaries.
• Assist with Workday onboarding and maintaining personnel files.
• Perform various administrative functions including processing personnel actions.
• Provide policy and procedure assistance to managers, supervisors and employees.
