Job summary

The Department of Personnel & Organization (P&O) seeks an experienced Personnel Advisor to deliver HR guidance and advisory support across the civil service.

You will advise on policies and procedures, support performance management, recruitment, and ensure compliance with government rules. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with strong Dutch writing skills, and you will liaise with employees and managers at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Prior experience in an HR generalist role.
• Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels.
• Experience in a high-pressure environment preferred.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong Dutch writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries.
• Provide proactive HR support and advice across employee relations and civil servant laws.
• Handle disciplinary matters and grievances with compliance to policies.
• Advise on policies and procedures to ensure civil servant compliance.
• Assist managers in performance management and recruitment support.
• Brief new employees on government policies and holiday/absence processes.
