Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join the Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures while guiding a staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, CPA preferred, and at least five years in attest services with knowledge of GAAP/GAAS/PCAOB standards, plus excellent communication and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of attest services experience in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking and client service skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per professional guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Build relationships with clients and ensure superior client service.
• Supervise staff through coaching and performance evaluations.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking.
• Assist with campus recruiting and employee referrals.
