Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant for the Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures while advising clients on improvements.

You will lead staff, participate in recruiting activities, and contribute to professional development. A Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 3 years of attest experience are required; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum three years of attest experience in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Excellent communication, client service, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and adaptability; proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day U.S. GAAP compilations, reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting and reporting issues based on professional standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve client processes and controls.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver superior service.
• Supervise and coach staff; evaluate performance on engagements.
