Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant for our Public Sector group to serve state and local governments and related entities across the United States. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting, and related projects, guiding teams and interfacing with clients.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting with 5+ years in attest services; CPA preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills, plus familiarity with GAAP/GAAS/PCAOB standards, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master’s degree desired.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of attest services experience in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service.
• Supervise and lead staff through counsel, guidance and coaching; evaluate performance.
• Invest in professional development through training sessions and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities including campus recruiting and referrals to the firm.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, high ethical standards.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
