MassHousing in Boston seeks an experienced Corporate Counsel to guide the agency on procurement, contract review, and complex legal matters affecting operations. You will draft memoranda, advise on regulatory compliance, and supervise public records processes to ensure transparency and accountability.

You will also support employment law matters, ethics and governance initiatives, and work closely with leadership and staff to manage legal risk while advancing MassHousing’s mission of affordable

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 7+ years of legal experience including procurement/public sector areas.
• Massachusetts Bar membership or ability to obtain promptly.
• Expertise in public records laws, state ethics, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of employment, contract, procurement, and administrative law.
• Willingness to travel within the United States.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal counsel on procurement activities and related solicitations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex Agency contracts and MOUs.
• Oversee compliance with public records laws and supervise staff handling requests.
• Advise on ethics, governance, and regulatory compliance for Agency leadership.
• Support employment law matters and HR policy guidance.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for disputes and compliance matters.
