Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator-Contract Administrator to support government and public-agency projects, ensuring contract and financial compliance. You will work with Project Management, Project Controls, Project Accounting, and Marketing to apply contract requirements and reduce risk.

The role provides a central coordination point for contract requirements and financial documentation, enabling project teams to focus on delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, PM, finance, or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience supporting transportation or public-sector projects.
• Experience with Caltrans or other state DOT contracts preferred.
• Strong understanding of consulting contracts, DOT billing requirements, and financial compliance.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract and financial compliance across prime contracts, task orders, amendments, and modifications.
• Interpret and apply financial terms, rates, funding limits, and authorizations.
• Track and report on project cost performance; prepare month-end reports.
• Provide contract compliance guidance to project teams.
• Support project setups, rate reviews, and invoicing alignment with contracts.
• Coordinate subconsultant compliance, approvals, insurance, and invoicing.
• Coordinate across project functions to align contract, financial, billing, and pursuit requirements.
• Assist with cost or pricing input for proposals and client submittals.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks; maintain auditable records.
