Amazon Web Services is recruiting a Solutions Architect I to help State and Local Government and Higher Education customers in the mid-Atlantic region modernize with cloud solutions.

You’ll work with government agencies, universities, and K-12 schools, applying fundamentals and clear communication to drive cloud adoption and mission outcomes. This role emphasizes learning, mentoring, and practical architecture design across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++.
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver components of cloud architecture solutions for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers.
• Create proof of concepts, demos, and scripts to demonstrate cloud solutions.
• Learn customer needs by diving into technical details and contributing to solution discussions.
• Collaborate with account teams and AWS engineering groups to support engagements and communicate status clearly.
• Develop technical content like presentations, workshops, and best practices guidance.
