Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to accelerate cloud adoption for state, local government, and education sectors.

You will work directly with government agencies and educational institutions to architect solutions that improve student and citizen experiences using AWS cloud technologies. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, become a thought leader in public sector cloud solutions, and influence architecture decisions while collaborating with sales,

Qualifications

2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
4+ years of technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security).
5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to state, local government, and education customers, designing and building solutions using AWS cloud services.
Develop and deliver technical content including sample code, presentations, white papers, and workshops.
Translate customer input into technical requirements and coordinate with sales, professional services, and engineering to drive customer success.
Own end-to-end design of cloud architecture solutions and provide guidance on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Identify gaps in products and services while mentoring teammates on solution design patterns and coordinating speaking opportunities at events.
