  • W2 Hourly Rate: $43-53/hour

Overview:

We are seeking an Automation Engineer who will support our NYS client. This Level I role will support multiple Integrated Eligibility System (IES) workstreams, including Eligibility, Enrollment, and Case Management (EECM), by analyzing current-state systems, extracting and validating business rules, and documenting requirements for modernization. The consultant will collaborate with agency stakeholders, business partners, and blended State/vendor teams to develop business and technical artifacts that support system planning, design, and delivery.

Duties:
  • Conduct requirements analysis of existing State systems and document requirements to support implementation of IES, including rules extraction and quality control activities to verify coverage and consumability of outputs.
  • Collaborate with agency business partners to identify legacy rules that should carry forward into the to-be system and those that should be retired within project scope.
  • Identify and document as-is and to-be IES system requirements and designs using prescribed IES business analysis methodologies and artifacts, including context diagrams, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, user interface specifications, and mockups.
  • Meet with agency and local district subject matter experts, users, executive teams, and other stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements.
  • Produce work products that support system planning, design, and delivery and ensure alignment with documented business needs.
  • Conduct peer reviews and participate in internal review processes while adhering to project timelines and priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with blended teams of State and vendor resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Level I - Between three 3+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer.
  • Between 3+years of business analysis experience in state government within the human services domain, with a focus on Eligibility, Enrollment, and Case Management (EECM). Experience must include eliciting requirements from stakeholders, analyzing and managing requirements throughout the SDLC, and developing artifacts for business and technical stakeholders, including business process flows, user stories, data dictionaries, wireframes, and specifications for a modernized eligibility system.
  • Between 3+years of experience working in an Integrated Eligibility System (IES) modernization program implementing transformed health and human services applications aligned with state and federal standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Between 3+years of experience acting as an Automation Engineer performing business analysis and workflow automation for an eligibility system, including assisting with project planning, roadmaps, test scenarios, and change request management.
  • Between 3+years of experience collecting legacy interface information for state-supervised and locally administered applications, drafting Interface Control Documentation, and assisting with disposition of mainframe interfaces for a modernized solution.
