The Bradenton Police Department is seeking a Public Safety Telecommunicator – Comm I to provide the critical first link between citizens and emergency services. You will answer emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch police and fire resources in accordance with procedures, often using quick independent judgment.

This training position will advance to Comm II after state certification. Ideal candidates have strong computer and communication skills, the ability to multitask under stress,

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• U.S. citizen or resident with green card.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Bi-lingual skills strongly desired.

Responsabilités

• Track and monitor officers and designated personnel.
• Operate and manage the CAD and radio systems.
• Receive and enter calls into the CAD system and dispatch police and fire.
• Coordinate with other law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain communications logs and records.
