Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Public Safety Associate for the Milwaukee campus, working 3rd shift. You will greet guests, issue badges, screen visitors for safety, and guide them to destinations.

You’ll perform weapon screening and coordinate with security and law enforcement when needed to protect patients, families, and staff. The role requires at least a high school credential, some postsecondary coursework in criminal justice, and one year of customer service or healthcare security

Qualifications

• High school equivalency required; GED/HSED accepted.
• Post-high-school coursework in criminal justice preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in customer service and uniformed security in healthcare or similar.
• Ability to work 3rd shift and perform weapon screening.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen guests at Welcome Center stations.
• Provide badge access and assist visitors with directions.
• Conduct weapon screening to prevent prohibited items entering campus.
• Maintain safety and report suspicious activities; liaise with law enforcement as needed.
• Remain calm under pressure and support a welcoming environment.
