Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Public Safety Associate to support security operations on the Milwaukee campus. The role includes greeting visitors, credentialing, directing guests to clinics and amenities, and assisting during emergencies with weapon screening procedures.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of customer service experience, healthcare security exposure, and the ability to calmly handle stressful situations while protecting patient privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED (HSED) required.
• Post high school coursework in criminal justice or equivalent field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide badge access credentialing services and greet visitors at CW facilities.
• Direct visitors to destinations and provide precise way finding; support during emergencies.
• Perform weapon screening to prevent weapons and prohibited items from entering.
• Maintain safety and order in assigned areas and coordinate with departments as needed.
• Adhere to CW policies, ethics, and training; maintain confidentiality and HIPAA rights.
• Read/write required reports and maintain accurate records.
