Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle emergency service calls from the public and determine nature and location of emergencies.
• Ensure proper radio frequencies for dispatch of emergency units.
• Maintain awareness of up to 50 emergency response units and their status.
• Operate CAD, 911 and emergency tracking systems; enter and retrieve data.
• Prepare incident reports using the automated system.
• Answer non-emergency calls and coordinate with other departments and agencies.
• Handle after-hours calls for multiple departments.
• Schedule may include weekends and holidays.
