Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Dispatch and 911 systems.
• Must pass a background check and polygraph examination.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle emergency service calls from the public, determine nature and location of the emergency, and dispatch units.
• Maintain awareness of up to 50+ emergency response units and monitor system status.
• Enter, update and retrieve information in computer systems including CJIS data; prepare incident reports.
• Coordinate emergency and non-emergency responses with city departments and law enforcement.
• Answer non-emergency calls and perform after-hours dispatch for multiple departments.
