Job summary

This role supports the Public Safety Department at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, managing staff and coordinating with event teams to ensure safety during busy events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Public Safety or security with coordination/management responsibilities.
• Proven customer service and communication skills; ability to interact professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rounds of the facility to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
• File detailed shift reports and incident documentation in a timely manner.
• Direct visitors and deliveries to proper areas and manage crowd movement.
• Oversee Public Safety event staff and coordinate with event management and management teams.
• Coordinate EMS, law enforcement, and fire department needs as required during events.
• Supervise staff, train new hires, maintain staffing levels, and ensure high-quality customer service.
