Job summary

Legends Global in Columbus, OH is seeking a Public Safety Coordinator to lead security operations across the convention center campus. You will supervise Public Safety Officers and contracted security, manage staff scheduling, and coordinate with partner agencies to ensure safe, compliant events.

You will assist with risk assessments, staffing deployments, and budgeting for EMS and law enforcement resources, ensuring a customer-centric safety approach throughout all events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Public Safety.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/field training experience in Public Safety.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a convention center or similar venue.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Public Safety Officers, Event Safety Staff, and contracted security personnel.
• Assist with staff scheduling and deployment to support events and operations.
• Coordinate with external agencies (police, EMS, fire) for staffing and incident response.
• Prepare event-specific security plans, cost estimates, and post-event reporting.
