The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Database Administrator 1 to support the Public Safety Delivery Center’s Solutions Management team. You will design, develop, and support critical databases used by the Pennsylvania State Police and other public safety partners.

Responsibilities include data modeling, building queries and dictionaries, monitoring performance and security, and guiding development projects. Telework up to 3 days per week may be available; in-office work is in Harrisburg.

Qualifications

• One year as a Database Analyst or IT Generalist 2.
• Five years IT experience with two years in database analysis, design, maintenance.
• Three years IT experience with two years in database analysis, design, and maintenance, and an associate’s degree.
• One year of IT experience with a bachelor's degree in IT.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Database Design: Create and refine database structures to support application and reporting needs
• Development Support: Partner with development teams to guide data modeling and create dictionaries and documentation
• Data Analysis: Build queries and tools that help teams understand information and support reporting needs
• Operational Monitoring: Track database performance, security, and availability to ensure stable daily operations
• Technical Guidance: Assist staff and project teams with database requirements, feature use, and problem resolution
• System Maintenance: Support upgrades, migrations, and backup processes to protect data and improve reliability
