Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Database Administrator 2 to design, implement, and maintain critical databases for public safety programs across the state. You will work with developers, partners, and vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance data solutions supporting JNET and PCCD.

Qualifications

• One year as a Database Administrator 1 or six years IT experience with three years in database analysis, design, and maintenance
• Two years’ IT experience with degree in IT and three years in database work
• Equivalent combination of experience and training

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain databases for stability, reliability, and performance
• Analyze database issues, develop solutions, and assist developers and teams
• Monitor database performance, track space usage, and implement efficiency improvements
• Develop data models, create complex queries, and support data migration and QA
• Coordinate projects, maintain plans, review service requests, and report progress
• Collaborate with vendors/contractors and support database enhancements
