Job summary

The City of Casper is seeking a dependable, service-oriented professional to join the Casper Police Department as a Community Services Officer. This role supports public safety, assists law enforcement personnel, and helps maintain a welcoming community by handling citizen inquiries, parking enforcement, reports, and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months experience performing clerical or law enforcement work.
• Possession of a Wyoming driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve the Community: respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests for assistance with professionalism and courtesy.
• Support Public Safety: assist patrol officers with non-emergency incidents, traffic accidents, safety hazards, and other duties.
• Enforce City Regulations: monitor parking ordinances, address abandoned vehicles, assist with code compliance.
• Provide Essential Services: VIN checks, fingerprints, subpoenas, and complete reports.
• Document Incidents: gather information, prepare reports, maintain records of citizen complaints and incidents.
• Participate in Community Events: assist with outreach, events, fundraisers, funerals, and public escorts.
• Assist with Legal Proceedings: prepare documentation and provide testimony in court.
