Job summary

The City of Concord's Police Department is seeking a Community Service Officer to join a fast-paced, customer-service oriented team. This non-sworn role supports the department by handling routine tasks and assisting the public in person and by phone.

Officers rotate through Community Service Desk, Administration, Property, and Traffic/Parking Enforcement, performing duties such as answering inquiries, processing complaints, recording information, issuing citations, and maintaining evidence

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent.
• Two years of experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer multiple telephone lines and respond to questions from the public in person and over the phone; direct callers to appropriate locations.
• Receive, classify and archive complaints; monitor departmental security and releases of towed or stored vehicles as needed.
• Receive and maintain security of property seized as evidence; ensure proper disposal or release to authorized parties.
