Lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll-related processes, and open records management while upholding professional communications standards to support 24/7 operations and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of experience in a public safety emergency call taking/dispatching position.
• One year of experience with leadwork/supervisory responsibilities.
• Associate degree (or higher) plus three years of specified experience including supervisory responsibilities will meet the education and experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees call takers in the police call center and assesses service delivery.
• Evaluates call taking methods and implements updates to ensure effectiveness.
• Manages department staffing and hiring coordination.
• Responds to vacancies and screens applicants for qualifications.
• Leads interview panels and onboarding processes.
• Oversees open records section and coordinates with other agencies.
• Performs payroll-related tasks and audits.
• Develops consistent communications standards.
• Handles miscellaneous duties as assigned.
