Job summary

The City of Conroe seeks a Communications Manager for the Conroe Police Department to lead the Communications Center and guide operations. You will supervise staff, oversee CAD and radio networks, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while managing dispatch records and policy implementation.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with related field, 5+ years public safety communications experience (3 years supervisory), and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of public safety communications experience, including 3 years in supervision.
• CJIS knowledge or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Communications Supervisory Staff.
• Oversee CAD, radio networks and data management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain dispatch records.
• Coordinate with other agencies for interoperability.
• Develop and review policies, procedures and incident reporting protocols.
• Conduct trainings and performance evaluations.
