Job summary

The Martin County Sheriff's Office seeks a Public Records Video/Audio Coordinator to organize, retrieve, and interpret sensitive video and audio records. This position reports to the Records Manager and Assistant Records Manager and requires strong analytical skills, judgment, and the ability to work with the public, state attorney’s office, and private attorneys.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of relevant experience in digital media software or equivalent education/training.
• CJIS Security Awareness Training preferred; Notary Public Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and process all public records requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate gathering of video and audio public records from all departments within the agency.
• View and redact public records video and audio according to laws and policies.
• Document all records requests on the agency system (JustFOIA).
• Create event designations and retention schedules for storage of recordings.
• Assist prosecutors with audio/video discovery requests and court appearances as needed.
