Job summary

Town Of Minden seeks a Sheriff's Records Licensing Technician to support the public with confidential, accurate record handling. You will process requests, conduct licensing checks, and maintain criminal history data using various software, while ensuring compliance with state retention rules.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a public safety environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and one year of general administrative support experience.
• Equivalent education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists public, answers inquiries, explains policies and directs to proper forms.
• Processes criminal history investigations for licensing (Liquor, Concealed Weapons, Traveling Merchant, Sex Offender, Felon).
• Compiles statistics and reports on programs and activities.
• Processes and codes crime reports, creates NCIC folders, and handles requests from public and agencies.
• Verifies documents for validity and accuracy; runs daily reports and maintains cash deposits.
• Operates office equipment and supports team efficiency.
