The role requires 5+ years in railroad public projects management, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel extensively. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in railroad public projects management, signals, track and engineering.
• 5+ years project management and ability to run multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of FRA regulations, AREMA practices, FHWA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the public projects process for all U.S.-based G&W railroads (500+ projects) to ensure timely, cost-effective completion and compliance with company standards and FRA regulations.
• Manage G&W’s selected public projects consultants for timely, cost-effective completion of all assigned projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, regional engineering staff, and general managers to meet railroad project requirements.
• Provide oversight of project contractors to ensure quality completion in line with G&W and FRA rules.
• Ensure all public projects comply with FHWA or other funding agency requirements.
• Maintain documents for internal and government audits and conduct field audits of work in progress.
