Job summary

The Stansbury Service Agency in Stansbury Park, UT is seeking a General Manager to supervise day-to-day operations, projects, and board-directed initiatives. This full-time role oversees staff across the golf course, swimming pool, athletic fields, parks, lake, cemetery, and library, manages a multi‑million budget, and leads contracts, grants, and land transactions while reporting to the Board.

Candidates should have a related degree and extensive leadership in public agencies; evening meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, construction/engineering management, real estate, or related field.
• Six years of related experience, including four in a managerial role.
• Experience in financial oversight, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to attend evening Board meetings and be on-site at parks and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise administrative and operational staff across multiple facilities.
• Execute Board-directed projects and pursue grants to fund them.
• Hire, supervise, discipline, and terminate Agency staff per Board rules.
• Manage, maintain, and improve agency recreation facilities, parks and assets.
• Administer the agency's multi‑million budget with the Budget Officer for controls.
• Negotiate contracts, leases, easements and land transactions with stakeholders.
• Represent the Agency at meetings with government organizations as directed.
• Draft next year’s budget for Finance Committee review and Board approval.
• Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to the Board.
• Oversee records management, HR, and safety programs.
