Job summary

Sunrise Recreation and Park District is seeking a Parks & Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead a comprehensive program for maintaining District buildings, parks, aquatics and related systems. You will manage staff, budgets, and capital planning while coordinating with contractors and public agencies.

The role requires extensive maintenance experience, supervisory ability and strong knowledge of budget and contract management within a public agency framework.

Qualifications

• Four years of maintenance/repair experience including two years in management.
• Formal education in parks, building planning, development, maintenance or related field.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage budgets.
• Knowledge of project and contract management in a public agency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, renovation and repair of District facilities and fleet.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Prepare and administer operating budgets for facilities and fleet.
• Plan and supervise staff and training; ensure safety standards.
• Coordinate bids and contracts for maintenance and construction.
• Respond to emergencies and public inquiries.
