You will lead the Parks and Community Services Department, guiding strategic planning, budgeting, and staff development to deliver high-quality city amenities and programs. The role requires a track record in public administration, strong leadership, and the ability to manage large budgets while partnering with city officials and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in parks, recreation administration, public administration or related field.
• Six years of full-time parks/recreation admin experience, with at least two in a director-level role.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver license within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Directs administration, operation, and maintenance of city parks, trails, and facilities.
• Establishes vision, goals, policies, and procedures for department operation.
• Leads staff development, coaching, and accountability.
• Prepares and administers large operating and capital budgets and seeks cost recovery opportunities.
• Develops long-range master plans for parks and community services.
