Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Driver License Examiner Assistant to support the Driver License Center with customer-focused licensing assistance and accuracy. You will greet customers, guide them through steps, administer basic tests, and enter data into on-line systems, ensuring compliance with REAL ID and fee rules.

Hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, with an 80-hour bi-weekly schedule and no telework option.

Qualifications

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through identification checks, application steps, and needed forms.
• Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests to measure applicant readiness.
• Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into on-line systems.
• Provide information on renewals, duplicates, REAL ID requirements, and commercial license options.
• Follow fee waiver rules, customer service policies, and REAL ID regulations.
• Monitor safety procedures and reporting requirements.
