The Department of Transportation is looking for a Driver License Examiner Assistant who enjoys helping people and solving problems. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operations of a Driver License Center and helps ensure that customers receive accurate and timely service. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers and guide them through identification checks, application steps, and needed forms
• Testing Support: Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests to measure applicant readiness
• Data Entry: Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into on-line systems
• Service Guidance: Provide information on renewals, duplicates, REAL ID requirements, and commercial license options
• Policy Compliance: Follow fee waiver rules, customer service policies, and REAL ID regulations
• Safety Awareness: Monitor your surroundings and follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel as needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
