Zel Technologies LLC is seeking an IT Analyst to support the City of Virginia Beach in planning, maintaining, and optimizing technology to enable efficient city operations and high-quality public services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant IT experience.
• 2–5+ years in IT support, systems administration, or technical analysis.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and enterprise apps.
• Experience with end-user troubleshooting and support.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
• Commitment to customer service and public-sector values.
• Successful background and drug screening check.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for city systems, applications, and end-user technologies.
• Analyze system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend enhancements.
• Assist with configuration, deployment, and maintenance of hardware, software, and enterprise apps.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and integrations with IT teams and vendors.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and workflows per city guidelines.
• Monitor system availability, security, and performance for reliable service delivery.
• Collaborate with city departments to translate needs into technical requirements.
• Assist with data analysis, reporting, and information management tasks.
• Participate in IT projects, including planning, testing, implementation, and training.
• Ensure compliance with municipal policies, cybersecurity standards, and state regulations.
