Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in real estate, business, public administration, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years in an assistant manager role at a housing development or multi-family property preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Agency’s fleet policy.

Responsibilities

• Interview and communicate with applicants for public housing occupancy, review applications, and verify eligibility.
• Supervise leasing specialists and support staff development.
• Conduct occupancy audits and ensure compliance with admissions and occupancy policies.
• Enforce lease provisions and HUD/HANO policies and handle non-compliance issues.
• Supervise screening, background checks, eligibility determinations, and lease processing.
• Manage annual and interim re-certifications and market lease renewals.
• Respond to inquiries from residents and employees and coordinate resident assistance referrals.
• Monitor housing community safety and coordinate maintenance and external contractors.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
• Assist in budgeting, purchase requisitions, and asset safeguarding.
• Support eviction documentation and attend court hearings when needed.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns, tours, and vacancy reporting.
• Aim for site goals such as occupancy, rent collection, and compliance without deficiencies.
