Job summary

HRI Properties is seeking a Property Manager for our Marais, New Orleans portfolio. You will oversee accounting operations, leasing, resident services, and retention while coordinating with property leadership to ensure compliant, efficient management of the property.

The role emphasizes leasing, rent collection, reporting, and fostering positive resident relations to support occupancy goals and community standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Property Manager experience is required.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, HUD, and Housing Agency requirements is preferred.
• Must possess basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
• Respond to telephone inquiries to generate prospective resident visits.
• Tour and market apartments, using sales skills to close prospects.
• Schedule appointments in Yardi and document communications with prospects.
• Ensure leasing presentations are professional and compliant with Fair Housing laws.
• Coordinate inspections and move-ins with Housing Agencies.
• Generate renewal and recertification reports and monitor expirations.
• Input daily activity on reports and manage rent collections and deposits.
• Assist with outreach marketing, newsletters, and community events.
• Maintain accurate legal records and assist with evictions when necessary.
