Job summary

CMRPC in Worcester, MA, seeks a full-time Public Health Training Manager to coordinate the Public Health Training Hub, oversee Trainers, and deliver training on food safety, housing, Title 5, septic systems, and related health inspections.

The role partners with local public health officials and the MA DPH Office of Local and Regional Health, offering a dynamic, interdisciplinary work environment and strong emphasis on professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Eight years of local public health experience including housing, sanitation, Title 5, wastewater and/or food protection.
• Registered Sanitarian/REHS Certification required.
• Certifications required or to be completed within six months: Public Health Foundations Course, Soil Evaluator, Septic Inspector, Food Manager, Certified Pool Operator, Lead Determinator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Public Health Regional Trainers and coordinate assignments.
• Provide training to local public health officials on regulatory requirements and standards.
• Deliver training programs and learning resources to meet workforce needs.
• Develop local public health competencies addressing disparities in health outcomes.
• Design standardized, hands-on training based on DPH curricula and assess learning outcomes.
• Coordinate logistics for training sites and ensure accessibility and safety.
• Attend central trainings and represent Central Mass needs.
