Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Training, Standards & Compliance for the Public Safety Department. You will provide strategic leadership for training, competency, policy development, and performance improvement across the health system, reporting to the Director of Public Safety.

You will supervise the Training Specialist and instructors, drive workplace violence prevention, emergency preparedness, and staff development, and collaborate with HR, Risk, and clinical leaders to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare security, public safety, law enforcement, or related field.
• Instructor certification in healthcare safety or public safety disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead training, competency, and professional development programs with annual strategies and documentation.
• Direct Workplace Violence Prevention training and ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission/CMS requirements.
• Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures; monitor accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and supervise staff; coach and develop personnel.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness training and drills in collaboration with relevant partners.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development within Public Safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Safety.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field

3–5 years of leadership experience in healthcare security/public safety
