Job summary

Rice County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Planning Manager/Data Analyst to lead data collection, interpretation, and performance management for population health improvements. The role also coordinates foundational public health responsibilities and grant reporting within the Public Health Department.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of experience in planning, data analysis, or program evaluation. Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, epidemiology, statistical sciences, or a related field with coursework in statistics.
• Minimum of three to five years’ experience in program evaluation, planning, data analysis, or equivalent.
• Strong data interpretation and visualization skills; experience with performance management and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee foundational public health responsibilities and grant reporting.
• Interpret and visualize data to inform decisions and performance metrics.
• Lead performance management and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support community health planning initiatives including CHNA/CHIP processes.
• Assist with communications planning for the Public Health Department.
• Build relationships with community members and partners to inform public health decisions.
