Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, health care administration, or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) with experience in Public Health or Healthcare leadership preferred.
• Master’s degree in public health, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative leadership to plan and direct public health programs.
• Collaborates with the Board of County Commissioners and community partners.
• Oversees budget, finance, and grant contracts for the Health Department.
• Ensures compliance with state laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Communicates department goals and outcomes to the public and stakeholders.
• Lead emergency preparedness and incident command coordination.
