Lewis County Public Health & Social Services seeks a Health Promotion Coordinator to support Emergency Preparedness through volunteer coordination, community engagement, and outreach activities.

You will recruit and onboard volunteers, track qualifications, assist with drills, and help distribute preparedness information to underserved communities, collaborating with partners and PHSS staff to strengthen local readiness. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in health education or public health is required; 3 years in public health, medical, or social services program experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, onboard and coordinate volunteers and partners; experience with MRC or similar programs is a plus.
• Strong communication, training, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes community health awareness and coordinates outreach activities.
• Develops and maintains relationships with community coalitions and partner organizations.
• Recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers; tracks qualifications and training records.
• Supports preparedness efforts, drills, and risk communication for public health programs.
• Maintains records and reports; ensures confidentiality in line with Privacy Act and HIPAA policies.
• Represents PHSS at events and community meetings.
