Job summary

Lancaster County Government seeks a Health/Medical Preparedness Coordinator to support the County Health Advisory Council and to maintain the Health and Medical Preparedness Plan. You will coordinate meetings, prepare reports, and liaise with county departments, health providers, law enforcement, and community organizations.

The role involves developing training materials, participating in drills using HSEEP, and contributing to the Crisis Communications Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR 1 year of relevant safety/health/emergency management experience.
• Strong organizational, time management and public speaking skills are required.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and emergency management concepts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the County Health Advisory Council (CHAC) and manage agendas, minutes, correspondence, and research.
• Maintain and update the Lancaster County Health and Medical Preparedness Plan and related annexes.
• Lead safety committee activities, communications, and training materials for health and medical preparedness.
• Develop and disseminate health and medical preparedness information to stakeholders and the community.
