Job summary

City of Midland, TX seeks a seasoned nurse manager to supervise public health nurses and clinical programs. You will schedule, monitor, and update programs, develop policies, and prepare required reports while engaging community leaders in disease prevention and health promotion.

You will oversee staffing, training, grant reporting, and ensure HIPAA compliance; you will also administer the EMR system and coordinate immunization efforts with clinical resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN).
• 10 years RN experience with 3–5 years of management experience required.
• Texas driver license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises personnel and assigns tasks, projects and activities; participates in hiring and develops programs, policies and procedures.
• Maintains staffing through hiring, training, performance evaluations, and documentation of actions.
• Leads Epidemiology/Surveillance Program; reviews reports, notifiable conditions, and investigations; educates providers and community; handles disease reporting in the Texas database.
