Job summary

The Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking a Health Program Manager 1 to oversee the marijuana license application process for adult-use and medical programs, coordinate with the Arizona Department of Public Safety for fingerprint cards, and ensure timely, compliant processing.

This role collaborates with IT for system enhancements, develops user manuals, and provides technical assistance to applicants and licensees, while maintaining confidentiality and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily application processing for marijuana licenses and agents.
• Outreach to ensure completeness and compliance of applications.
• Drafting and finalizing notices of denial/withdrawals.
• Handling fingerprint cards and coordination with DPS.
• Collaborating with IT for system testing and user education materials.
• Supporting legal liaison with notices and hearings.
