DuPage County Health Department is hiring a Customer Service Representative for the Central Public Health Center in Wheaton. You will provide front desk services and prepare paperwork to identify client needs by phone or in person, enabling rapid screening and referrals.

Hours: Mon & Fri 8:00–4:30, Tue–Thu 8:00–7:00; rotating shifts. Benefits include full package, holidays, vacation, health, dental, vision, and more, with eligibility for PSLP and tuition reimbursement.

Qualificações

• Some experience in human/social services preferred with customer service background.
• Bilingual applicants strongly preferred; Spanish test may be required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and attend on-site orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides general and specific information regarding departmental policies to the public.
• Performs related work as required based on program needs.
• Conducts pre-screening activities; directs individuals to proper location.
• Checks in customers; schedules follow-up appointments; collects payments.
• Answers phones; resolves complaints per department policies and standards.
• Screens for eligibility; gathers basic demographics to begin intake.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to patient privacy laws.
• Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.
