Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking a Health Professional III to assess care quality in health facilities across Colorado. You will conduct unannounced evaluations, interview residents, families, and staff, and review records to determine compliance with CMS and state regulations.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, clinical judgment, and the ability to educate facility staff on standards while coordinating with interdisciplined teams.

Qualifications

• Six years of health care experience in an assisted living facility or similar regulated program.
• Combination of related education and work experience equal to six years.
• Residency requirement: Colorado residents only.

Responsibilities

• Assess care quality and life for residents through observations, interviews, and record reviews.
• Determine compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
• Prepare survey findings, deficiencies, and regulatory citations.
• Serve as educator and interpreter of regulations for providers and consumers.
• Lead or participate in surveys, assign tasks, and facilitate meetings.
