Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking a Health Professional III to assess health facility care and quality of life through structured observations, interviews, and record reviews. The role involves evaluating compliance with CMS and state regulations while serving as a regulatory resource for providers and the public.

Responsibilities include preparing for surveys, managing survey teams, and facilitating inter-team and facility meetings.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of relevant health care experience.
• Experience with facility surveys and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess care, treatment and quality of life in health care facilities through observations, interviews and record review.
• Review self-reported occurrences and incidents of serious deficiencies and assess corresponding actions.
• Write statements of deficiencies citing applicable CMS and state regulations.
• Serve as resource, educator, and interpreter of regulations for providers and consumers.
• Prepare for surveys, select residents for survey samples, and assign tasks to team members.
• Facilitate meetings among survey teams and facility staff; perform additional duties as assigned.
