Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health is seeking an Epidemiologist to help improve community health through data-driven analyses and clear reporting. You will analyze vaccine-preventable disease data, develop dashboards, and collaborate with internal and external partners to inform public health actions.

The role requires a Master’s in epidemiology/biostatistics, experience with R or SAS, and a commitment to equity and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a closely related public health field.
• Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience with epidemiologic data analyses and public health reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct epidemiologic analyses of vaccine-preventable disease data to monitor disease trends and identify populations at risk.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, maps, and other data products to communicate findings and support data-driven public health actions.
• Analyze vaccination coverage and school immunization data to identify trends, disparities, and potential gaps in vaccination.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, Community Wellness staff, and other internal and external partners to provide timely epidemiologic information.
• Support cooperative agreement activities, performance measures, and grant deliverables through data analysis and reporting.
