Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Epidemiologist Data Scientist to support epidemiologic studies, surveillance programs, and data modernization initiatives. You will independently conduct analyses, interpret findings, and develop data products to improve public health outcomes.

The role involves dashboard development, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring junior staff, with travel up to 10% and eligibility for a public trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Epidemiology/Public Health or MPH/MS with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience conducting epidemiologic analyses on large-scale datasets.
• Experience with SAS, R, Python, SQL; ability to translate findings for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct epidemiologic analyses using diverse health datasets.
• Develop analysis plans, statistical methods documentation, and reports.
• Perform descriptive, longitudinal, and multivariable analyses.
• Translate findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Design and validate data quality rules and surveillance indicators.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations with modern analytics tools.
• Support automated analytic workflows and reporting processes.
• Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and dissemination products.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and project teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support quality reviews.
