Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Epidemiologist Data Scientist to support epidemiologic studies, surveillance programs, analytics, and data modernization initiatives in the U.S. You will independently conduct analyses, interpret findings, and develop data products to improve public health outcomes.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, creating dashboards, and translating complex results for diverse audiences. Travel up to 10% and a requirement to obtain Public Trust clearance are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Epidemiology/Public Health/related field OR MPH/MS with 3+ years experience.
• Experience analyzing large-scale public health or healthcare datasets.
• Experience interpreting epidemiologic findings for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, SQL or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct epidemiologic analyses using diverse health datasets.
• Develop analysis plans, documentation, and reports.
• Perform descriptive, longitudinal, trend and multivariable analyses.
• Translate findings into actionable insights for technical and executive audiences.
• Design data quality rules, indicators, and performance measures.
• Develop dashboards and data products using modern analytics tools.
• Support modernization and automation of analytic workflows.
• Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and dissemination products.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support quality review.
