Job summary

LinQ Global Group is seeking a skilled epidemiologist to support health system planning, emergency preparedness, and public health surveillance. You will conduct analyses, link multiple datasets, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for agency leadership and partners.

The role emphasizes developing dashboards and reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and enhancing data quality to improve resilience across health systems.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience with SAS and SQL.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of public health surveillance, healthcare data systems, and epidemiologic methods.
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct epidemiologic surveillance and analysis of healthcare utilization, capacity, workforce, and service delivery data.
  • Monitor syndromic surveillance and near real-time data sources to identify emerging health system trends.
  • Link, clean, and analyze multiple state and federal datasets using SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools.
  • Develop dashboards, maps, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS, and related software.
  • Assist with onboarding healthcare facilities to the Automated Capacity Occupancy Reporting Network (ACORN), to facilitate real-time capacity data submission, with technical assistance and data quality review.
  • Evaluate surveillance systems and recommend improvements to data quality, validity, and timeliness.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, situational awareness, and public health response activities.
  • Develop reports, data briefs, presentations, and policy recommendations for agency leadership and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve health system planning and resilience.

Job description

Supports health system planning, emergency preparedness, and public health surveillance by conducting epidemiologic analyses, integrating multiple healthcare datasets, developing data visualizations, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
