Job summary

Fort Bend County in Texas seeks an experienced emergency planning professional to develop and oversee distribution of medications via the SNS, CHEMPACK, and related assets. You will coordinate training, mobilize resources, and work with regional, state and national partners to implement drills and responses.

You will train local partners, ensure adequate staffing for distribution sites, and participate in public health responses during disasters as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as health care, emergency response, public health or community emergency planning.
• 3 years job related work experience.
• Excellent computer, verbal and written communication, project management and organizational skills; interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops emergency response plans for distribution of medications to residents.
• Coordinates training exercises to mobilize assets for prophylaxis measures.
• Coordinate planning with regional, state and national agencies and partners.
• Provides training and education for local response partners on distribution plans.
• Executes and evaluates emergency plans through drills.
• Ensure staffing of distribution sites and related activities with the Homeland Security office.
• Participate in public health and disaster deployment duties as directed.
